Course Objective's 

It is designed to enable the participant to:

  1. encode and decode the NOTAM

  2. know the text of NOTAM 

  3. know the serial number of NOTAM and AIC

  4. know information promulgated in NOTAM and AIC

  5. use the ICAO annexes and documents in relevant

Pre-requisite Good command of English – Aviation / ATS –

Course Title  AIS Briefing

Course purpose

the course is designed to train participant to enable them to provide pre-flight information service in accordance with specifications explained in Doc. 8126 (aeronautical information Manual) & Annex 15. 

Course objectives:  At the end the Participants will be able to:
  1. Explain organization of the briefing services
  2. Explain execution of service
  3. Explain physical location of AIS units and coverage zone of these units.
  4. Explain types of briefing and preparation of its bulletins.
  5. Extract miscellaneous information from AIP, and other ICAO Annexes and Documents.
Mode of delivering
  1. Classroom lectures
  2. Practical exercises
  3. Visual aids to demonstrate a point
  4. On the job training in AIS unit at the airfield.

  1. Basic AIS course.

Course Title Flight Planning

The course is designed to train the participants to enable them to complete ICAO Model flight plan form in accordance with instructions listed in ICAO Doc. 4444 Appendix 2.

Course Objectives At the end the participants will be able to:
  1. Define and state the purpose of flight plan. 
  2. List types of flight plan. 
  3. Explain requirements, submission, delay, modification and cancellation of flight plan and ATS messages related to. 
  4. Complete correctly the items of ICAO model flight plan.
  5. Explain the general procedures of repetitive flight plan. (RPL).
  6. Explain addressing of flight plan and other ATS messages related to.

  3. Flight Operation officers
